You've read the first letter. You know Orin, and the troll, and the song that mattered more than any sword. If your grandchild already picked up the phone once for Lorendil, here's the rest of the journey.
This completes the full seven-letter series — six more letters, each built the same simple way as the first:
The Tale — a short, self-contained fairy tale
The Invitation — a P.S. at the end of the story, inviting your grandchild to pick up the phone and call you, whether that's a phone call, FaceTime, or in person
The Record Page — a place for them to write your story down, in their own handwriting, and keep forever. It can't be finished without you.
Across the six letters ahead, your grandchild will ask about the people who shaped you, the hardships you pushed through, a time you were scared and did it anyway, the moment you knew he was the one, the meals and memories you carry, and — in the final letter — what you most want to be remembered for.
Each letter also carries a fragment of the map of Thornwood. By the seventh, the pieces fit together into one complete map, revealing where the story was leading all along.
By the end, your family will have something no one else has: a small handwritten archive of your own life, in your grandchild's own hand — seven treasures, kept forever.
